If you are looking for a non-traditional type of healing, I highly recommend Gentle Touch Chiropractic. I took a bad fall in 2006, which left me incapacitated. Brian (Dr. Flake) was able to get me back on my feet. I have been around chiropractic medicine for almost 30 years, off and on. The family doctor said he could do no more for my sciatic nerve problem.

One of our daughter-in-laws insisted that I see a chiropractor. I didn’t believe in chiropractors. My wife looked in the phonebook and found one a few minutes away. It was Doctor Brian Flake. I told him I didn’t think he could do anything for me. I was only there to satisfy my daughter-in-law. After about two visits, the pain was gone. It has not returned as of this writing (January, 2009).

I had a pain in my hip. An X-ray showed it was caused by arthritis. After two or three visits, the pain was gone. It has not returned yet.

In the winter of 2007-2008, I thought I only had a very bad cold. Dr. Brian took one look at me and sent me to a minor emergency station. It turned out I had walking pneumonia.

I had a knee that was acting up last summer and after several visits, he sent me to an osteopath. I got a shot of cortisone. That fixed the knee. It works well now.

I had trouble with my esophagus for several years. I had to have my esophagus stretched every year or two. Each time it felt as if a truck had run over my neck and I had to take Tylenol for a couple of days just to swallow. I told Dr. Brian about it and he cured it in about three seconds. It has not bothered me since.

I was bothered with neuralgia and it was getting worse. I told Dr. Brian about it and he sent me to Mother’s Cupboard in Shadle Center about it. He had me talk to Christine about it. She gave me some herb pills and said to give it about two weeks to kick in. it worked so well I told Dr. Brian that it was a magic potion like the Good Witch of the North would give.

Dr. Brian has been our main doctor. If something is wrong that he can’t fix, he sends us to a doctor who can. That’s what any family doctor will do.

I am so very glad to have been referred to Dr. Flake! After several years of chronic pain and headaches following a car accident, I’d had little relief and only left with drugs for the pain. Inability to tolerate most of those left me hopeless with the constant presence of pain, pressure in the head, aching muscles, sharp jabs along the spine, limited motion and ringing ears. Unable to sleep without the help of medication, I always woke up in terrible pain, ears ringing, not very happy to greet the day.

After my first visit with Dr. Flake, I immediately experienced relief from my worst pain, and he accomplished this without jarring or painful adjustments! I was able to go about my day for the first time in years without the constant companionship of pain. I had the best night’s sleep, too. Waking up was like starting a new life! For the first time in so long I was able to actually feel the rest of my body instead of the same old pain! Increased circulation and flow, better overall comfort and motion, and a wonderful feeling I received from the new hope that this help promised.

On my second visit, I found myself first laughing because the increased flow in my body gave me such a pleasant overall feeling. Then I found myself crying, not from the pain but because I just hadn’t felt so actually GOOD in so long. I have complete confidence in the type and effectiveness of Dr. Flake’s work and abilities.

I am looking forward to continued association and treatment by him. I found his office to be a very friendly, positive and supportive place. Carole also helps to make the entire visit a very pleasant experience.

Over the last 30 years I have seen many different kinds of chiropractors looking for some relief from lower back pain and headaches that I have had on a daily basis since I was 16 years old.

I have never been one to continue seeing someone with no results, so I rarely follow the traditional three times a week for 8 months schedule most chiropractors want me to follow.

One day while walking my dog I passed Dr. Brian Flake's office and inside was a dog. I of course had to stop and peer through the door at the dog. A young lady opened the door and introduced herself as Carole the office manager. I told her I was looking for a chiropractor closer to my home. I also told her I was low income and had no insurance, but she said she could work something out for me. I waited an entire year before contacting her for an appointment. At the time I was seeing someone else but started getting no long-term results.

My first visit with Dr. Brian removed my headaches. 2 appointments for 3 weeks (my choice) had me pain free. My lower back no longer hurts like it once did and the headaches are all but gone.

I have never gone do a doctor that cared so much. Dr. Brian and Carole are the cream of the crop in my book. I would not even consider going back to the crunch and crack of my last doctor. Dr. Brian works on the pain, and that is new to me. I have never had a chiropractor ask me where it hurts and actually work on that area. Normally they just do the same thing every time.
